20 months

In honor of his 20 month birthday, Carson got a haircut. He was great and sat still (on my lap) for the haircut until the last 2 minutes. Then he decided enough was enough. Kind of like in these pictures. At first he was fine with me taking his picture, but by the third picture you see that he is telling me "no." And it was a joint decision that the 4th picture would be the last one for the day :)

My baby is no longer a baby, he is such a big boy. His vocabulary is increasing every day and he knows how everything works. He watches everything and has figured out how to dismantle the vacuum cleaner, to the point where all of the dirt landed on my living room floor. In addition to understanding how the vacuum cleaner works, he knows how to open and unload the dishwasher. He puts all of the silverware away in the correct drawer, doesn't matter to him whether they are clean or dirty-haha. He refuses to go upstairs if I have left the gate open, because he knows that gate is always supposed to be closed. He also likes to stand at the bottom of the stairs and yell for "Maaaa" (Maddie) when he thinks that the girls need to come down. Much like his older sister Maddie, he won't go to bed if the closet or dresser drawers are open. He always lets me know when I forget to do something. He is also very polite and says "Gank goo" whenever you give him something. He knows how to sign "sorry" and will do it on his own almost every time he whomps on his sisters.

He eats pretty well now, but his diet is primarily still fruit, unlike his sister Maddie :) He will eat some veggies and loves blueberry waffles. He has got the word and sign for "cookie" and can recognize one from a mile away. It is so hard to believe that in a few short months he will be 2.
